Mission Improvement is a non-profit 501 c 3 tax deductible charity in Washington State. Our mission is to help stop the dropout rate and homelessness in its tracks by providing men and women with free tutoring and an opportunity to finish their educational requirements through the GED format. Not only do we tutor them through the basics of learning but we also help them incorporate these subjects into their everyday life.

We seek donations to help assist with GED supplies, and testing for those who want to finish their education. - Each subject requires financial assistance for testing. There are five subjects we tutor - Reading, Writing, Science, Social Study, and Math. Each individual needs to be proficient in all five GED certificate of completion. Mission Improvement is making every effort to assist them, but we need your help with their tutoring supplies and test payments. If you can, please make a donation. Thank you for your support. Any size donation will help. Donations are tax deductible.

Help us keep the GED programs active, many agencies in Washington State have discontinued programs to give second chances to men and women to continue their education.

We are now teaching GED classes in Tacoma, Washington. The nonprofit we support is called The House of Matthew - Homeward Bound. For verication, call Jeanette Twitter @ 253-301-1812

Our other tutoring site is the Olympia Timberland Library (in the reading area) Thurston County Washington 313 8th Avenue SE (360) 352-0595 - Monday - Wednesday - Friday - 12:pm till 5:pm. Free tutoring

Our goal is to build the facility you see in the picture above in the near future. This facility will provide men and women with an opportunity to stay at Mission Improvement for an allotted time frame with teachers, cooks, local volunteers, and staff. The facility will include living quarters, TV room, laundry room, leisure room, game room, cafeteria, auditorium that provides entertainment, orientation, graduation ceremony, stage plays and performances, and other outreach programs.

Those who have quit or are dropping out of school are becoming a huge problem to our society, and Mission Improvement has developed a solution to get them back on track. We also encourage those who have not quit to continue with their studies and complete their educational task the first time around.

The facility is needed. There are many GED businesses closing in the State of Washington and we want to provide men and women with room and board, three meals a day plus snacks, five-classrooms for the GED prerequisites, and college level credits to be transferred to local colleges. And while staying at the facility for the allotted time frame to complete their GED. Students will receive some dental care, eye care, medical, counseling, employment responsibilities, self-help programs -- just to name a few things.

Our love and respect for education is mainly about the smaller children. They are our real concerns. We feel if we just get the adult population back into the mainstream of learning, children will have a better chance at growing up and becoming a brighter future for those who are counting on them. They are the future -- so let's help the men and women who are ready for a second chance to have it. It will be very rewarding. Mission Improvement wants to help the adult population be the role model they were designed to be, by getting them back into the mainstream of the society and become productive members. This is a win-win situation.

We are our brothers' and sisters' keeper.
The harvest is great, but the workers are few.
